Kids are drawn to the historical wonderment of the paddle steamers; enticing them with loud foghorns and simple engineering that will serve them well in science class for years to come. The river cruises are located in town, around 10 minutes from the Discovery Parks - Echuca and will take you and your family to some stunningly secluded areas of the river. Paddle steamers leave every hour, during business hours, though some companies do have night cruises.

Walk through the old town of Echuca down at the Port where you will be transported back to a simpler time, before iPads. Depending on when you travel to the Maiden’s Inn Holiday Park, you could be privy to the tug-of-war event, the Riverboats Musical Festival or even a historical street display of vintage cars. Even without all these goings-on, you can still thoroughly enjoy a walk along the wharf as the sun goes down, and drop into the Star Hotel to check out the underground bar and sawmill site.
