Situated just south of Eden, the Wonboyn Lake is a versatile lake system and a mecca for dusty flathead. Moon phases and conditions vary the movement of fish, so it's better to seek local advice from bait and tackle shops before tackling this spot. Bayscliff, the entrance to Wonboyn Lake, is a top choice for salmon and tailor.

The ultimate family theme park in Pambula, NSW.Slide down the Tube Rider, feel the thrill of the rollercoaster, rush down a toboggan, bounce on the jumping castle and more. There's something for all ages, from children through to adults, at Magic Mountain.

Does your holiday have to include the water? Rivers, lakes and the ocean are what makes this area so fantastic. Take on stand up paddleboarding and kayaking with Coastline Adventures. Available for hire during the school holidays.

There are three wharves used as a working port with trawlers regularly on the move bringing home the days catch for relay to the markets. You can see pelicans, dolphins and seals. Have a chat to the local fishermen. Go past the wharf and see Rotary Lookout and the Seamen’s Memorial Wall - this captures the true essence of the township.

Situated in the picturesque Bega Valley, Potoroo Palace offers the authentic opportunity to see a range of Australian wildlife. Koalas sitting in the trees, kangaroos hopping by, and birds chirping away. Feed an emu through this unique eco-experience.

A scenic drive or breathtaking hike, this is an opportunity to see an amazing section of coastline. The walk is just under 4km one way, around an hour and a half to complete. It passes through an area of heat and melaleuca. Reach the rock from stunning views north up the coast.

Originally a lighthouse designed by Ben Boyd in 1847,  this sandstone tower is surrounded by sea on three sides and offers a beautiful lookout spot to view the whales along the coast.

The iconic 3-day Light to Light Walk follows some of southeast Australia’s most spectacular coastline.
This place is very special. Explore it at your own pace without the burden of tents, food and water, and be spoiled at the end of the day with delicious dinners, a hot shower and luxurious camp beds, sleeping bags, sheets and towels.

Rocky coastline and pristine beaches, Beowa National Park (formerly Ben Boyd National Park) is rich with settler and indigenous history. Learn about the sacred relationship between the Thaua people and the wild orca, and the namesake of the national park. Then, explore the trails, shore, and whale watching spots.

Wonder why it's called Twofold Bay? From Eden's Lookout Point at Rotary Park, you'll find out exactly why. Observe the headline jutting out into the bay and see Boyd's Tower sitting atop Red Point on the other side.

Get up close with pigs, alpacas and even camels at the animal barn! The little ones have a pony ride and older kids can take a trail ride through the property.

Don’t forget the camera when you go to Green Cape Lighthouse. The view from 30 metres up is hypnotic, and easier to view from behind a lens if you are nervous about heights. From up here, you can get a spectacular view of Disaster Bay. That’s not an oxymoron, the Green Cape Lighthouse allows you to see many historical shipwrecks and is even said to be haunted. You can also catch a glimpse of whales and dolphins from the lookout of New South Wales’ most southerly light.

Kill a few hours strolling through the skeletons of famous orcas at the Eden Killer Whale Museum. The orcas are up to 40ft long, with dorsal fins as tall as 5”8, and are incredible to see, even as bone structures. The Museum is 80 years old, and is recognised as one of the most innovative museums in regional New South Wales, putting it at the top of your to do list.

If you aren’t interested in seeing beautiful, majestic mammals glide effortlessly through ocean waves, steer clear of this. However, if this sounds like your kind of thing, and you are in the area between September and November, you’re in luck. Humpback and Southern Right whales visit the Beowa National Park during their Southern Migration to Antarctica. If you go in November, you will also have the opportunity to go to the Eden Whale Festival.

A few minutes' drive from Boyd's Tower is the historic Davidson Whaling Station, this was the longest operating whale station in Australia and the last of its kind to stand. The original cottage residence still stands amid stretches of open garden - a great spot for a picnic with the family.

Dolphin or seals seen on most trips.

Reconnect with Mother Nature on this trail covering lake, beach, eucalypt forest, salt marsh and grass land. This walk is 6kms one way and comprises of both boardwalk and wide gravel pathway. Perfect for a couple's walk or a stroll with the whole family (including pram). Make sure to catch the birdlife lining the path. Access this from the Eden Sportsground or the Scout Hall on Prices Highway.
